Who are we

In 2012, Reshma Jannatul Ruma—a law student at Sylhet International University—gathered five friends with a simple dream: to protect homeless children near railway stations from being “plucked away.” What began as informal teaching sessions under open skies soon grew into a movement. By 2013, IcchaPuron was born, and by 2015, it became an official force for change.

Today, we’re more than just an NGO. We’re a family of 30+ selfless volunteers who believe in action over words. From distributing winter clothes and Eid gifts to teaching ethics and preschool basics, every initiative is fueled by our core members’ sacrifices and the trust of kind-hearted supporters. We don’t chase donations; we earn trust—one child, one community at a time.

Icchapuron Pathshala is our non-residential community program offering vital part-time care and early learning for underprivileged children.

Our Tree Plantation Campaign

In Sylhet’s soil, we plant more than saplings—we grow tomorrow’s breath. With mud-streaked hands and shared laughter, our volunteers—grandparents, students, local heroes—bend together under the sun. Each neem, jackfruit, and mango tree is a promise: cleaner air, deeper shade, sweeter fruit for generations.

A Day of Play with Our Pathshala Family

Sunlight, laughter, and the rustle of shared pithas—we celebrated Sylhet together! At our team-children picnic, caregivers traded lesson plans for cricket matches, while children traded routines for unfiltered joy. Little hands planted seeds alongside mentors; familiar faces splashed in riverside games. Here, care wasn’t scheduled—it bloomed in daisy chains and spontaneous folk songs. For one golden day, we weren’t just teachers and learners, but a single community savoring earth, sky, and each other. This was Icchapuron at its lightest, brightest, and most alive: work disguised as joy.
